Montreal River (Wisconsin-Michigan)

The Montreal River is a river, approximately 40 mi (64 km) long, in northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. It drains a forested region along the Wisconsin-Michigan border into Lake Superior.

It rises near Pine Lake in Iron County in northern Wisconsin. It flows north, to the Wisconsin-Michigan state line, then northwest, forming the state boundary for its lower 30 miles (48 km). It flows past Hurley, Wisconsin and Ironwood, Michigan and enters Oronto Bay on the southwestern shore of Lake Superior 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Ironwood, at Michigan's westernmost point.
