Moteru

"Moteru" is a Japanese slang expression meaning "to be popular in terms of relationships." As an English cognate, it can be used as a noun, whose meaning is close to "mojo". A person who is "moteru endowed" has the ability to attract flirtations with little or no effort.

The moteru endowed tends to make people fall hopelessly in love with him or her, while exhibiting little or no interest. Jay Mohr's character, Jack, from the movie 200 Cigarettes is an example of moteru in film.

It should be noted that moteru is different from sluttiness, in that it functions independent of overt come-ons or offers of sex, and often results in unwanted sexual or romantic attention.
