Mount Massive

Mount Massive (14,421 feet) is a fourteener in Lake County, Colorado, United States. It is the second highest peak in Colorado, edging out the third highest Mount Harvard by one foot, and less than Mount Elbert by 19 feet. It was first noted in 1873 during the Hayden Survey of the American West. The mountain is located in Mount Massive Wilderness, in San Isabel National Forest.

Massive is a long but relatively easy climb. The mountain has five summits, all above 14,000 ft (4217 m), and a summit ridge over 3 miles (4.7 km) long. It is located in the Sawatch Range immediately north of Mount Elbert. It is located northwest of Leadville, Colorado.
