The Mount Sinai Hospital (zip code 10029) is a hospital in New York City, New York, serving Manhattan's Upper East Side and Harlem. Founded in 1852, Mount Sinai is one of the oldest and largest voluntary teaching hospitals in the United States. Founded as "The Jews Hospital," Mount Sinai eventually shed that name as well as its stated Jewish affiliation.

It is a 1,171-bed tertiary care teaching hospital, featuring a medical staff of nearly 1,800. The hospital is located at 100th Street and Fifth Avenue, on the eastern border of Central Park. Mount Sinai has numerous hospitals affliates in the New York metropolitan area, including The Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens.

The medical library was originally located at Madison Avenue and 100th Street and was known as the Jacobi Library. This became the core of the new library of the school of medicine and is now known as the Levy Library.

The hospital is also affiliated with one of the foremost centers of medical education and biomedical research, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, which opened in 1968.
