Mountains of Slovenia

Mountains of Slovenia are part of the Alps and of Dinarides. They can be divided into:
- Julian Alps (Slovenian: Julijske Alpe) in the northwestern part of Slovenia. The highest peak is Triglav - 2864 metres (9,396 feet) above sea.
- Karavanke - a massive ridge that forms a natural boundary between Slovenia and Austria. The highest peak is Stol - 2,236 m ((7,336 feet).
- Kamnik Alps (Kamniške Alpe) and Savinja Alps, which are often considered together, lie to the south of Karavanke. The highest peak is Grintovec - 2,558 m (8,392 feet) above sea.
