Mr. Slave

Mr. Slave, voiced by John 'Nancy' Hansen is a recurring character in the animated television series South Park. He is the former lover of Herbert Garrison (before the latter had sex reassignment surgery); Garrison is an elementary school teacher whose sexual perversions are many, and often bizarre in the extreme. Mr. Slave's catchphrase is "Jesus Christ" delivered in a quavering lisp.

Mr. Slave first appeared in Season 6, in the episode . Mr. Garrison learns that he can sue the education board for a lot of money if he is fired for being gay, and does his best to ensure this happens. To this end he hires Mr. Slave as his classroom assistant. The lessons become increasingly sexual, and degenerate in nature, culminating in Mr. Garrison inserting the class gerbil Lemmiwinks into Mr. Slave's anus.

The episode spoofs Schindler's List when the South Park children are sent to what is essentially a concentration camp for what their parents see as their inability to accept their gay teacher. Truthfully, however, they are traumatized at the increasingly deviant lessons Mr. Garrison is delivering.

The other major strand in "Death Camp of Tolerance" is Lemmiwink's adventures within Mr. Slave, which take the form of a fantasy adventure deliberately designed to spoof a 1977 animated edition of The Hobbit. This theme is returned to in Season 8. During the episode "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset", Mr. Slave traps Paris Hilton within his rectum, and she finds she also has to complete the quest.

In the episode "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina", Mr. Garrison has a sex-change operation and becomes a woman. Mr. Slave is upset that he was not consulted on the operation beforehand and, being gay, is no longer attracted to Mr. Garrison as a woman. When Mr(s). Garrison callously suggests that Mr. Slave simply stop being gay so that they can continue their affair; the two get into an argument, resulting in Mr. Slave walking out. In episode "Follow That Egg!," Garrison decides that he wants him back but learns that he is too late, as Mr. Slave had moved on with Big Gay Al — whom he is now engaged to. Jilted, Mr(s). Garrison makes an ardent, though ultimately failed, attempt to get gay marriage banned. Subsequently, Slave and Al marry. Since then, Mr. Slave has ceased to be a regular character on the show.
