Mt. Spokane High School is located in Mead, Washington, and has a student body of 1,355 attendees. The principal of Mt. Spokane is John Hook and the assistant principals are Jim Preston and Danette Driscoll. The school is part of the Mead School District #354.
Extracurricular activities
The school is also becoming famous for their DECA prowess. After sending nearly 50 students to the state DECA competition in 2006, they are sending 11 to the national competition in Dallas, Texas.They have also done extremely well at local tournaments in Debate led by their Coach Martha Rough and their last President of 2005-6 Konnie Clary.
Athletics
The Mt. Spokane Wildcats have a history of excellence in their baseball and football programs.Recently, Coach Alex Schuerman led the baseball team to a 15-4 record and 2nd place in the Greater Spokane League (GSL) . After the 15-4 record in 2004, Schuerman won the GSL outright.
Their tennis program also does very well. They were undefeated for three years in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In 2006 they lost their final heart-breaking match against Ferris, removing their undefeated title. Expect them to come back next year, hungry to win.
