Mucopurulent discharge is the emission or secretion of fluid containing mucous and pus from the eye, nose, cervix, vagina, or other part of the body due to infection and inflammation.
In ophthalmology, mucopurulent discharge is a hallmark sign of bacterial conjunctivitis.
