The Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC) is a government-owned institution responsible for the management of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia as a world-class technology industry and commerce zone.

The MDC is charged with:

attracting international ICT (information-communication technology) businesses to set up shop in the MSC, and providing them technical and administrative assistance in doing so
engender relationships between MSC businesses
attracting talented ICT professionals to work in the MSC
connect new business operations with quality employees (through its KWX subsidiary)
manage the digital infrastructure of the MSC area (through its MSCTC subsidiary) and security (through its Trustgate subsidiary, which is also a commercial service)
encourage investment in MSC businesses (through its MSCVC subsidiary)
advise the government on the development of technology-related laws
maintain the MSC's commercial and residential services

The board of directors of the MDC include major Southeast Asian technology investors, as well as the Malaysian Secretary-Generals of the Treasury, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications|Energy and Communications. (See Politics of Malaysia.)
