Najiyah bint al-Walid

Najiyah bint al-Walid ibn al-Mughira (Arabic: ناجية بنت الوليد بن المغيرة) is a sahaba of Muhammad. She is the daughter of Walid ibn Mughira and married Safwan ibn Umayya.
Women were becoming Muslim in their own lands and they did not do hijra while their husbands were still kafirun although they themselves had become Muslim. Among them was Najiyah bint al-Walid ibn al-Mughira. She became Muslim on the day of the conquest of Mecca, and her husband, Safwan ibn Umayya fled from Islam. His husband did not become Muslim for a long time after that, but their marriage was not ended. He eventually became Muslim.
