Namco Tales Studio
Encyclopedia : N : NA : NAM : Namco Tales Studio
Namco Tales Studio was originally created as a joint venture by Namco and Telenet Japan in March 2003 and succeeds Wolfteam as main developer of the games in the Tales RPG series while retaining many of the series former staff.
Originally Namco owned 60% of this venture, while Telenet Japan/Kazuyuki Fukushima retained 34%, and Tales series director Eiji Kikuchi got 6% when leaving Telenet Japan which game development department he headed for 10 years. Effective on April 1, 2006, Namco Bandai Games bought the remaining shares by Telenet Japan, cutting the last link to the developers' former employer and increasing its stockholding majority to 94%.
Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Tempest, both produced by Jun Toyoda, are in no way related to Tales Studio.
