Nanchong

Nanchong (Chinese: 南充; Pinyin: Nánchōng; Wade-Giles: Nan-ch'ung ) is a prefecture-level city in Sichuan Province, China and lies about 2 hours northeast by car from Sichuan's capital city, Chengdu via the Chengnan expressway. The municipality has a population of some 7 million people and is rapidly developing. It is located on the Jialing River. It is an important traffic junction of the region and has a large sugar and tobacco industry.
