Nanyuki

Nanyuki is a market town in central Kenya, lying north west of Mount Kenya. It was founded by British settlers in 1907 and is still often visited by the British Army, as well as climbers and backpackers on their way to or from Mount Kenya. The town lies on the A2 road and the Nanyuki River.

A park lies in the centre of the town, and an airstrip to its south, across the equator. Mount Kenya Safari Club and Sweetwaters Game Reserve lie nearby.
