National Journal is a weekly magazine about American politics and government, published by National Journal Group, Inc. Founded in 1969, it is widely read in Washington, D.C. and well respected for its accurate and impartial coverage. The National Journal is part of the Atlantic Media Company. Its chairman is David Bradley.

Its high subscription price (US$1,799 per annum) in part reflects its wealthy and powerful clientele, and also that most of its subscribers are institutions (such as government agencies, political bodies, lobbying firms, trade associations, and other interest groups) rather than individuals.
