National Restaurant Association

The National Restaurant Association, founded in 1919, is a restaurant industry business association in the United States. It claims 60,000 member companies, which combined represent more than 300,000 restaurants. It also operates the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. The association is a member of the International Hotel & Restaurant Association.[link]
According to Americans for Nonsmokers' Rights, members of the tobacco industry have persuaded the association to adopt policies favorable to them, primarily an opposition to smoking bans.[link]
