Nebraska (song)
Encyclopedia : N : NE : NEB : Nebraska (song)
"Nebraska" is a song by Bruce Springsteen. It was the opening song on his 1982 album of the same name.
The song's lyrics are about Charles Starkweather, the spree killer who went on his spree in the midwest in 1958. However, many of the details in the song, such as the song's first two lines, "I saw her standing on her front lawn/ just a twirling her baton", are drawn from Terrence Malick's film Badlands, a fictionalized interpretation of the Starkweather killings.
