Nepenthes x kinabaluensis
Encyclopedia : N : NE : NEP : Nepenthes x kinabaluensis
Nepenthes × kinabaluensis (after Mount Kinabalu, where the type was collected) is a natural hybrid of two famous Bornean pitcher plant species: N. rajah and N. villosa. It is notable for being a self-reproducing entity, in some places independent of both parent species. It is an example of a carnivorous plant of the pitfall trap variety. N. × kinabaluensis was first collected in 1910 near Kambarangoh, Sabah by Lilian Gibbs.
