Nesbyen is a small village in Nes municipality of Norway, with about 3500 inhabitants, centered in the middle of southern Norway and a railroadstop along the railway between Oslo and Bergen.
This is enlisted as the location with the highest recorded temperature in Norway, with a record of 35.6° C.
Due to income from hydro power stations in the area, the small town is unusually rich.
Outdoor activities in the area are: Golf, skiing, swimming, hiking.
