Besides these, there are a host of other socities within the college which encourage students to join and contribute substantially to their overall development during college life. These include the dramatics club, singing club, trekking club, book club, movies club and industrial visits' socities.

One of the most active societies of NSIT is The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) which organizes industrial trips to companies like Maruti, Honda, Yamaha, HNG etc thereby introducing the students to the industries. It is the only society which can boast of such an event.

Trekking Club

A team of six young, active, adventure-loving final year students made a most tortuous 90 km trek to the Pindari Glacier. Putting their lives at risk this team successfully scaled the glacier and reached the very source of the Pindari river at a height of 3897 m above sea level. The Himalayas are not nice hosts and the members braved hail and landslides. One of the team members was injured while escaping from wild animals. The team members were: Rahul Gupta, Rajat Mamgain, Nitin Tewari, Rajat Goel, Stanzin Tsesdup and Pulkit Midha. More details at http://pindaritreks.blogspot.com/
