New Kingdom was a hip hop music group that emerged in the early/mid nineties in Brooklyn, New York.
The group, which also had a 9 man live band to aid at concerts, consisted of rappers Jason "Nosaj" Furlow and Sebastian Laws. Production was in the hands of New Kingdom and producer Scott "Scotty Hard" Harding. In 1993 the duo released their first record, Heavy Load and the follow-up, Paridise Don't Come Cheap surfaced in 1996. The duo disbanded in 1997. The influence of the heavily-layered and prog-rock style is clearly seen in groups such as Rage Against The Machine, Wu-Tang Clan, and countless others.
