In February 2004, the Raleigh station was the victim of a college prank whereby their school and business closure information, which is used during inclement weather events, was altered to display a variety of humorous messages, including the infamous "All your base are belong to us".[link]
There are plans to expand the news operation into the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, which includes Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. This news operation should start up in the fall of 2006. [link]
