Ngai (Enkai, En-kai, Engai, Eng-ai, Mweai, Mwiai) is the supreme God in the monotheistic religions of the Kamba, Kikuyu and Maasai tribes of Kenya. According to the Kikuyu tradition, he lives on the holy mountain Kirinyaga (Mount Kenya). According to the Kamba, he lives somewhere in a hiding and no one knows where.

The God Ngai is said to have given cattle to the Masai (Maasai), which has resulted in many controversies concerning other tribes supposedly "stealing" their cattle.


Ngai is an ethnic group in Vietnam and other Indochinese countries. The Ngai are Chinese-speaking but are classified separately from the urban ethnic Chinese or Hoa.


Ngai (Chinese: 魏 or 倪) is transliteration of two Chinese surnames in Hong Kong based on Cantonese.
