The Nicaragua national football team is the national team of Nicaragua and is controlled by the Federación Nicaragüense de Fútbol. It is among the weakest teams of Central America. Despite being part of Central America, football is not widely played, as baseball is far more popular both as a participatory and spectator sport. Nicaragua has never qualified for a major international tournament.
