Nicolaus I Bernoulli

Nicolaus I Bernoulli (21 October 1687, Basel, Switzerland – 29 November 1759, Basel) was a Swiss mathematician. He was a nephew of Jacob and Johann Bernoulli. He studied mostly probability theory.
