Nidaba
Encyclopedia : N : NI : NID : Nidaba
The Sumerian goddess of writing, particularly documents in the palace archives. She is first seen as a daughter of Enlil, but was later regarded as being a child of Enki, and thus the sister of Ningirsu and Nanshe. Her mother is unknown. She is perhaps more commonly referred to as Nisaba.
Many scribes often gave praise to her at the end of a cuneiform tablet or document, as she was the patron goddess of writing. A few hymns are dedicated to Nidaba/Nisaba due to her prominence in writing, however, she doesn't play a vital role in any major Mesopotamian myths. She is thought to be very wise and kind to humans.
