Nihat Berker

Nihat Berker is a Turkish theoretical physicist and emeritus professor of physics at MIT. His main research interest is statistical mechanics and renormalization group. After his retirement from MIT, he returned to Turkey and served as a professor and Dean of the School of Sciences and Letters at Istanbul Technical University. He is now a faculty member of physics department at Koc University, Istanbul.

He is also the son of a notable scientist and an engineer Ratip Berker.
