(1987 – July 12, 2006) of Mitzpe Shalem, Israel, was killed by sniper fire while attempting to rescue fellow IDF soldiers trapped in a tank just over the Lebanese border.[link] The tank exploded after an IED was detonated while in pursuit of Hezbollah guerrilas who had kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers and killed 3 others in cross-border attack that led Israel to launch Operation Just Reward against Hezbollah in Lebanon. He had rank of Sergeant from the Nahal Brigade. He was buried in the Mount Herzl Cemetery in Jerusalem.
