Nissan Teana
Encyclopedia : N : NI : NIS : Nissan Teana
The Nissan Teana is a front wheel drive midsize automobile built by Nissan of Japan, released in 2003. It is exported as the Nissan Maxima and Nissan Cefiro to many markets and is different from the Nissan Maxima sold in North America. Its platform is shared with the Nissan Altima.
It forms the basis of the Renault Samsung Motors SM7 in South Korea. In January 2005, Samsung announced a lower-specification version of the Teana which it will sell as the SM5.
The Teana is produced for the Chinese market by the Dongfeng Motor Company, a joint venture with Nissan.
Spy photos of the Nissan Teana have been seen with left hand drive, so this car could be coming to the North American market soon (possibly as an Infiniti).
