Nose fetishism (nose fetish, nasophilia, pinnochio fetish, pinnochia) is a paraphilia in which an individual is sexually aroused by the sight, touch, or often the erotic sucking of human noses. Less common, but of interest, are those who are aroused by having their nose stroked, felt and suckled. The arousal may be caused by the shape or the size of the nose. Some are even aroused by the picking of noses.
Types of fetish
Some features of the nose [link] which cause arousal may include
- Bulbous tip (such as Mira Sorvino, Sarah Jessica Parker)
- Fleshiness (such as Marg Helgenberger)
- Wide tip (such as Avril Lavigne, Sarah Michelle Gellar)
- Pointy nose (such as Haylie Duff)
- Upturned tip (such as Elisha Cuthbert, Marcia Gay-Harden)
- Nostrils (such as Tiffany Amber Thiessen)
- Hooked nose (such as Sonje Fortag)
- Wide nose (such as Michelle Kwan)
- Large nostrils (such as Stacy London, Michelle Kwan)
Nose fetishists will commonly either look at celebrities who have “sexy noses” (such as those listed above) or they will modify existing images to make someones nose appear more pronounced (known as "morphing").
Psychology
Not much is known about the nose-fetish and very little literature exists on it except for the internet, where there are several online communities of nose fetishists. In these communities men and women discuss the erotic nature of noses and even "cyber" erotic noseplay. It is believed that there may be many more people who have this fetish than who admit to it publicly because it isn't considered to be socially acceptable. It has been said "that for any object you name, someone will have a fetish for it", and this appears to be the case. As with all fetishes it is likely to based on early experiences in childhood. Most nose fetishists are extremely against rhinoplasty because it removes many of the features which they find so desirable. Sarah Michelle Gellar is especially loved because despite pressure from others she refuses to have her nose "fixed".
