Noseman (Kirby)

is a fictional guest character in the  anime. He appears to be a giant nose with an explorer's hat. He has arms and feet and has eyes similar to that of a friend of Kirby's, Tiff. He appears in the Kirby anime episode "The Ring Story of Parm and Memu", which didn't make it to the USA but aired in other countries as "The Thing with the Ring". Another, later monster who also didn't make it to America was Hardy.

Background

Noseman is a rather disturbing-looking character. He has the power to inhale just like Kirby, except he inhales through his nostrils. He can sniff up anything and inhale whatever he finds. Noseman's biggest weakness is his allergy to pepper. His disturbing ability probably lead the episode to appear in to not air in the USA.

Profile

King Dedede, learning that Sir Ebrum has lost his ring, decides to buy a monster to help him find the ring, and who does he get but Noseman. Noseman runs into Kirby and the gang in Cappy Town, and, noticing that Doron has the ring, inhales him, and Kirby and the gang chase him through the village as he goes around inhaling all the jewelry he can find. He brings all of it to Dedede, who is mad because none of it is the stuff he's looking for. Kirby and the gang show up and demand that Dedede give up the ring right now, so he sics Noseman on Kirby, and they both have an inhaling contest. As they go, trying to get the ring that Doron, who appears out of the pile of jewelry as they keep inhaling, Tuff tells Kirby to stop and uses the best weapon against a giant nose, a shaker of pepper. It causes Noseman to sneeze, blowing everything out of the castle and pinning King Dedede and Escargoon against the wall behind the King's throne. Dedede hits Noseman with his hammer, laughing as he sees him flying, while Escargoon mourns the loss of his rings.
