Nova Scotia Highway 106
Encyclopedia : N : NO : NOV : Nova Scotia Highway 106
Highway 106 in Nova Scotia, part of the Prince Edward Island loop of the Trans-Canada Highway, connects the Northumberland Ferries terminal in Caribou to the mainline Trans-Canada (Highway 104) near Westville.
The highway is 19 kilometres (12 miles) long, of which most is a two-lane freeway. It bypasses New Glasgow to the west and crosses to the town of Pictou using the Havey A. Veniot Causeway [link]. A traffic circle/roundabout (known as the Pictou Rotary) connects Highway 106 with the centre of town and Highway 6. The highway returns to grade-separated intersections for the final segment running northeast of Pictou to the Caribou ferry terminal.
