Nova Scotia Route 318 connects the communities of Dartmouth at Nova Scotia Highway 111, Port Wallis to Waverley at Nova Scotia Route 2 in the Halifax Regional Municipality. It is also called the Waverley Road , the Portobello Road and Breamar drive . It follows the shores of Lake Micmac ,Lake Charles and Lake Thomas . Thr Route follows the Shubenacadie Canal and passes under the Nova Scotia Highway 111. The road has a lot twist and turn as it follows the shore of Lake Thomas . The 318 was the only route to the Halifax International Airport till the opening of Nova Scotia Highway 118.
