Nozzles the Elephant is one of the principal characters in . Nozzles is wise and has a dry wit, making him a favorite character among parents listening to the Jungle Jam show. He loves to read books, especially mystery novels ("Lord of the Wrongs"), garden, play the trumpet, and sing scat. He is a collector of nifty gadgets. In many episodes of Jungle Jam, Nozzles is the source of understated humor, especially when he is described as doing things that would be particularly difficult for an elephant, such as floating along by clutching a helium balloon ("The Big Bang Theory"), climbing a tree ("The Skunk Who Would Be King"), or playing the animal version of Twister.
