Nyahururu is a town in Kenya. It is capital of the Nyandarua District, one of seven districts that make up Central Province in Kenya. The town has an urban population of 24,751 [link].

Nyahururu was formerly known as Thompson Falls after the nearly waterfalls that drain from the Eweso Nyiro River from the Aberdare mountain ranges. Nyahururu is on the Junction of Nyeri-Rumurutu road and the Nyeri-Nakuru road. Nyahururu is also the highest town in Kenya making it a practical training ground for Kenya's top athletes.
