Nypro Inc. established Nypro Tool Hong Kong (NTHK) in 1998. The company is a joint venture, formed by Nypro Inc. with an entrepreneurial Hong Kong mold maker Mr. W Y Tam. It was Nypro's first full-service tool building facility in China.
Today NTHK is a 48,000 square foot (3716 m2) facility offering state-of-the-art mold design, construction, and testing. It has a full complement of CAD/CAM and CNC equipment capable of making high precision molds with very short lead times.
The emphasis is on total integration of CAD/CAM systems into production activities, and application of shop floor automation technologies, such as automatic tool change, off machine setup, and computerized inspection. As an advanced precision tool builder using the best practice, NTHK implements 100 percent EDM electrode inspection, and systematic, repeatable engineering procedures for total quality assurance.
Nypro Tool Hong Kong is an integral part of Nypro Inc.'s strategy to be the leader in the growth of precision injection molding globally.
Being the first Nypro plant to achieve ISO 9001 (2000 version), Nypro Tool Hong Kong continues to be one of the most efficient tooling plants within Nypro as well as in Asia.
