ORCAD

OrCAD is a software tool for electronic design automation and the name of the company that produced it. The software is used mainly to create electronic prints for manufacturing of printed circuit boards and by electronic design engineers and electronic technicians to manufacture electronic schematics and diagrams, and for their simulation.
The name OrCAD is a portmanteau, reflecting the software's origins: Oregon + CAD.
The OrCAD product line is fully owned by Cadence Design Systems.
