Oda Nobumitsu

(????-1555) was a Japanese Samurai politician, the brother of Oda Nobuhide. At the time, Nobumitsu held the Moriyama Castle in Owari Province. Nobumitsu assisted his brother during the 1st Battle of Azukizaka in the year of 1542. Nobumitsu soon became known as one of the greatest retainers under Nobuhide.

During the year of 1544 Nobumitsu assisted his nephew, Oda Nobunaga during the capture of Kiyosu in 1544. Nobumitsu suddenly died one days during the year of 1555, it is currently not amongst speculation to how he suddenly died. It is thought that Nobunaga ordered Sakai Magohachiro to kill him.
