Odeniyi is a name from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. The first three letters of the name "Ode" translate into the English word "Hunter". "Odeniyi" literarily translates as "Hunter has honour."Naturally Odeniyi connects the origins of those bearing the name to hunters or hunting.

The name is bound to the house of Oluode in Okku, as well as some other clans in the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria.
