Odin's Court is a progressive metal band from Maryland, USA. The band's music has a large range of influences, including Pink Floyd, Symphony X, Rush, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, and Megadeth. However, Odin's Court never uses their influences as models for their own music; while the band does classify themself as progressive metal, their music is unique when compared to many others in the genre.
The band has released some demos as well as a full length album (Driven By Fate). The band is releasing their their latest album, Redriven By Fate on March 24, 2006, which is comprised of re-records of the some of the material from Driven By Fate with new arrangements to reflect the new line-up along with new acoustic compositions and a few acoustic arrangements of the Driven By Fate songs. Also, on March 24, 2006, the band shot footage for their first live DVD release at the infamous Jaxx Night Club in Springfield, VA. The DVD is due out for release sometime later in 2006.
