The debut album by Australian rock band the Church, Of Skins and Heart was released in April of 1981. The only release to feature founding member Nick Ward on drums, the album is largely dominated by more simple-structured, post-punk songs. Nearly all songs were written by singer and bassist Steve Kilbey. The single "The Unguarded Moment" brought early attention and significant radioplay to the band. The more epic track "Is This Where You Live" became a frequent live staple over the following years.
