Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad: A Pseudoclassical Tragifarce in a Bastard French Tradition was the first play written by Arthur L. Kopit. It premiered on August 26, 1963 at the Morosco Theater in New York City, in a production directed by Jerome Robbins. The principal roles were taken by Hermione Gingold, Sam Waterston, Alix Elias, and Sandor Szabo.
The play was turned into a film of the same name in 1967.
