Okabe clan

The Okabe clan of Suruga province in Japan were descendants of the Kudo family of Izu Province. Until the fall of the Imagawa clan in 1569, the Okabe were very valued retainers under the Imagawa. After the Imagawa fell, the Okabe went on to serve under the Takeda as vassals. After the Takeda fell during the year of 1582, the Okabe went on to serve under the Tokugawa.
