Old Mill (TTC)

Old Mill is a station on the Bloor-Danforth line of the subway system in Toronto, Canada. It is at 2672 Bloor Street West at Old Mill Terrace/Humber Boulevard. It was opened in 1968. Nearby landmarks include The Old Mill Inn, the Humber River, and Park Lawn Cemetery.
The station is built into the side of the Humber River valley. Its west end is underground, while its east end is on a bridge that takes the line across the river, with glass walls providing a view of the riverside park and a break from the wind (bird shapes have been applied to the windows to reduce the number of avian fatalities on these large windows). East of the river, the line enters a tunnel.
In 2000, the station was damaged by a fire on a garbage-collection train, just after the subway had closed for the night. This was most likely caused by a lit cigarette disposed of in a garbage can at another station. After this incident, the TTC switched to leaving garbage outside stations for collection by truck.
The only bus route that serves Old Mill is the 66 Prince Edward.
