Olmedo Sánchez Sáenz is a baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and plays first base. Sáenz was born in Chitre Herrera, Panama in 1970. Sáenz was called up on May 28 1994 with the Chicago White Sox organization. Sáenz would have a hiatus from MLB until 1999 with the Oakland Athletics and was their top hitter off the bench and in clutch situations. In December, 2004, Sáenz joined the Dodgers as an option for a bench spot. Much like his days with the A's, he has been one of the Dodgers' most consistent players coming off the bench. He makes an occasional start at either First or Third base.
