Olmo

Encyclopedia : O : OL : OLM : Olmo

For the town in France, see Olmo, Haute-Corse.
As with many Italian bicycle racers, after his retirement Giuseppe Olmo began building bicycles in the 1930s. Many of the conventional bikes now marketed by the Olmo company are "built to Olmo specifications" rather than manufactured in house, but the company continues to develop and build high end Road racing and MTB frames using titanium and carbon Fibre.

The company is still based in the seaside town of Celle Ligure on the Ligurian coast of North West Italy, an area well known by road cyclists and on the route of the Milan-San Remo road race, a competition that was won twice by the companies founder and subsequently by Olmo team riders.
