Oman Air

Oman Air (الطيران العماني) is an airline based in Muscat, Oman. It operates scheduled domestic and international passenger services, as well as local air taxi and charter work. Its main base is Seeb International Airport (MCT), Muscat.
Oman Air is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization.

History
The airline was established in 1981 and started operations in 1993. It was formed as the result of a merger of the former Gulf Air Light Aircraft division and Oman International Services, as Oman Aviation Services. Oman Air is owned by Individuals (41.7%), Oman government (33.8%) and private Omani companies (24.5%).
Services
Oman Air operates the following services (at January 2005):
- International scheduled destinations: Bahrain, Beirut, Cairo, Chennai, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kuwait, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.
- Code share destinations: Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Frankfurt, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, London, Riyadh and Zurich.
Muscat-Beirut to 7x a week via Dubai (737)
Muscat-Bahrain / Muscat-Doha to 7x a week nonstop (737)
Muscat-Cairo to 5x a week nonstop (737)
Muscat-Kuwait to 2x a day, 1 nonstop, 1 via Dubai .
Dubai increases from 27 to 44 flts a week.
Muscat-Thiruvananthapuram is now 7 times a week,and
Muscat-Kochi is now 5 times a week
