Oola (
Irish:
Uibhla, from the egg shaped hills/Drumlins) is a town in
County Limerick,
Republic of Ireland, near
Limerick in the midwest of
Ireland. The main
N24 road from Limerick to
Waterford passes through the town. The town of
Tipperary is also nearby on the same road. Though the town is no longer connected to the
rail network, the important station at
Limerick Junction is also nearby. The Village of Oola has approximately 500 inhabitants. Oola forms part of the united parishes of Solohead & Oola in the Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly with the Church of "The Sacred Heart" as the Parish church.
