Operation Corporate

Operation Corporate was the codename given to the 1982 British military involvement in the Falkland Islands during the Falklands War.
The 2 April, 1982 Argentine invasion, Operation Rosario, took the British by surprise. The British undertook a series of military operations as a means of recapturing the Falkands from Argentine occupation.
The British counterinvasion was launched on 21 May, the capital city of Port Stanley fell on 14 June. 3 British civilians and 255 service men were killed restoring the islands to the previous status.
