Operculum

In biology, operculum (Latin for "little lid") has been used to describe several different features. It includes the following:
- Operculum (gastropod), a lid on the shell of some gastropods
- Operculum (incense ingredient), made from the operculum of gastropods
- Operculum (fish), a flap of the Bony fish covering the gills
- Operculum (botany), various lids and flaps pertaining to plants and fungi
- Operculum (brain), a part of the (human) brain
