Opioid antagonist

An opioid antagonist is an receptor antagonist that acts on opioid receptors.

Naloxone and naltrexone are opioid antagonist drugs which are competitive antagonists that bind to the opioid receptors with higher affinity than agonists but do not activate the receptors.
